By default, LinkedIn tries to show you relevant ads based on a number of factors like your location and connections. LinkedIn may also show you ads based on your current or past job information (i.e., your job title or role) as well as your current or past companies (i.e., employers or organizations). If you don't want LinkedIn to show you ads based on your employers, our guide will show you how to disable this setting.

Note: These screenshots were taken in the LinkedIn application on iOS. Also note that ads will be displayed on LinkedIn even if you disable this setting. They just aren't personalized for you based on your employer.

Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap on "Settings".

Step 3: Tap "Advertising Data".

Step 4: In the “Data Collected on LinkedIn” section, tap “Employers”.

Step 5: You will see a list of your current and previous employers. Tap the check box to the left of an article to prevent LinkedIn from showing you ads based on that information.
